The SOCCACUP Regensburg 2026 marked the debut of a new tournament venue—and it kicked off with a weekend full of football, excitement, and unforgettable experiences. From May 15 to 17, 2026, youth teams in the U10 through U13 age groups gathered in Regensburg to take part in an intense and exceptionally well-organized youth football tournament at the SV Burgweinting facilities.

Even before the first whistle blew, it was clear that the SOCCACUP Regensburg was more than just a traditional football tournament. The combination of excellent facilities, short distances, a family-friendly atmosphere, and the special highlight at Regensburg’s Jahnstadion made the weekend a truly memorable experience for players, coaches, staff, and families.

Premiere of the SOCCACUP Regensburg with a Strong Field of Participants

More than 12 teams competed in the first edition of the SOCCACUP Regensburg 2026. Matches were played in the U10/U11 and U12/U13 age groups, allowing young football talents from various regions to compete against one another.

Each team played at least 5 games, for a total of about 125 minutes of playing time. As a result, the SOCCACUP Regensburg not only offered plenty of playing time but also ample opportunity for the players to develop their skills, grow together as a team, and gain valuable tournament experience.

Tournament Venue: SV Burgweinting—Convenient Location and Excellent Fields

The tournament was held at the SV Burgweinting complex in Regensburg. The venue impressed with two natural grass fields and one artificial turf field, locker rooms, showers, and good transportation access.

A major advantage of the SOCCACUP Regensburg was the short distances: The hotel was only about 1.1 kilometers from the tournament venue, the Jahnstadion was about 4.2 kilometers away, and Regensburg’s Old Town was also within easy reach. As a result, the venue combined optimal sporting conditions with a relaxed tournament atmosphere for teams and families.

Highlight at the Jahnstadion: SSV Jahn Regensburg vs. Energie Cottbus

A special experience awaited all participants on Saturday: attending the 3rd-division match between SSV Jahn Regensburg and Energie Cottbus at the Jahnstadion. The season finale on Matchday 38 was a real highlight and turned the SOCCACUP Regensburg into a tournament weekend with a professional atmosphere.

Watching a professional match together at the stadium after playing their own preliminary and group matches in the morning perfectly embodied the SOCCACUP’s mission: to combine fooball, community, and special moments.

Regensburg as an Attractive Destination for Teams and Families

Off the field as well, the SOCCACUP Regensburg 2026 had plenty to offer. Regensburg’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, St. Peter’s Cathedral, the Stone Bridge, and the Walhalla Memorial in Donaustauf offered teams and their companions numerous opportunities for personalized leisure activities.

This made Regensburg a perfect fit for the SOCCACUP tournament concept: exciting youth football, professional organization, short distances, and plenty of time to explore the region together.
