My personal tip for you
The IKUNA Naturresort is an excellent choice for football training camps, combining modern accommodations with a peaceful, natural setting. Of particular note is the state-of-the-art artificial turf field, located just about 400 meters from the hotel and easily accessible on foot. It offers ideal conditions for optimal training.
Training
Training takes place at the Union Natternbach sports complex, which is located just about 400 meters from the hotel. The complex features a natural grass field (105 x 60 m) and an artificial turf field (95 x 60 m). During the winter months of February and March, training takes place exclusively on the artificial turf field.

Hotel
The modern hotel, which underwent further expansion in 2025, features 41 rooms, including Garden Rooms, Tipi Suites, and Starry Sky Chalets. The hotel also offers a guesthouse and a bar area, as well as its own restaurant and a bistro. It also features several lounges, conference rooms, an outdoor gym, and a wide range of wellness facilities, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, saunas, and a relaxation room. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
Rooms
The Garden Room, which accommodates up to two people and features a modern design, has a 25 m² living area and a 15 m² private sun terrace. It also includes underfloor heating and air conditioning. The parking space is right next to the front door.
The two-story teepee, made of solid wood, features a private terrace, underfloor heating, air conditioning, and a double bed on the ground floor. It can accommodate up to four people.
The two-story solid-wood teepee with a walkway and access to the natural swimming pond features a fully automatic window, a private terrace, underfloor heating, air conditioning, and two separate sleeping areas, each with a double bed.
The two-story solid-wood chalet with a starry-sky window features a 45 m² living area spread over three and a half stories. A refrigerator, an oven, and a private terrace are also provided.
All accommodations are equipped with Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a safe, a shower/toilet, a hair dryer, and either heating or air conditioning.

Natternbach is a market town in the Grieskirchen district of Upper Austria, located in the idyllic Hausruckviertel region. The town has a population of about 2,300 and is surrounded by rolling hills, forests, and meadows. The peaceful, natural surroundings offer ideal conditions for relaxation and sports activities. At the same time, thanks to its good transportation connections, Natternbach is easily accessible and is an excellent location for football training camps.
Directions
By car: Take the A8 Innkreis Autobahn, exit at Pichl bei Wels or Meggenhofen, then follow the B129 to Natternbach. The drive from Passau takes about 45 minutes, and from Linz about 50 minutes.
By public transportation: Take the train to Wels or Passau; from there, bus connections are available to Natternbach.
Airport: The nearest international airport is Linz Airport (LNZ), located about a 50-minute drive from the IKUNA Naturresort.
Activities
Recreational Activities
Tennis courts are located about a 17-minute drive away. The Schärding Golf Club is also a 25-minute drive away.
Team Building
In addition to training sessions, the resort offers a wide variety of recreational activities. Highlights include a high ropes course, the winter light show, Austria’s longest wooden marble run, group yoga, alpaca team-building, and mountain carting.
Nightlife
In downtown Passau or Linz, there are numerous bars and restaurants for a great team night out.
