Training
Training takes place at the Schöndorfer SV sports complex, which is located about 900 meters from the accommodations. The route is ideal for a short warm-up run; alternatively, the sports field is less than four minutes away by car. The artificial turf field has been exceptionally well-maintained for years and is in excellent condition.

Hotel
The Dorotheenhof Weimar combines historic architecture with modern comforts and is nestled in a sprawling park between vineyards and the Ilm Valley. The hotel has a total of 56 rooms, including single rooms, double rooms, and junior suites. A wellness area invites guests to relax and recharge after training sessions, while the hotel’s restaurant serves regional cuisine to ensure a balanced diet. In the evenings, the hotel bar offers a cozy gathering place to wind down at the end of the day. Several meeting rooms are available upon request for team meetings or team social evenings.

The 56 rooms are equipped with comfortable beds, a private bathroom with shower, toilet, and hair dryer, a flat-screen TV, a telephone, and free Wi-Fi. The tastefully furnished rooms create a pleasant atmosphere and offer the perfect setting for relaxation after intense training sessions.
Wellness
The wellness area at the Dorotheenhof Weimar offers ideal opportunities for recovery after intense training sessions. Spanning approximately 230 m², it features a bio sauna, a Finnish sauna, an infrared cabin, a steam room, sensory showers, and various relaxation areas. The offerings are complemented by an ice fountain and a Yin-Yang couple’s tub with a light and sound experience. Individual wellness and massage treatments can be conveniently booked on-site.

Thanks to its good access to the A4 highway and its central location in Thuringia, the property is easily accessible from many regions of Germany—especially for teams from Bavaria, Franconia, and Baden-Württemberg.

Weimar’s historic old town is just a few minutes away and offers numerous restaurants, bars, and pubs for a team night out. If you’d like to end the evening on a livelier note, you’ll also find various clubs and nightlife options there.
Supporting Program
In addition to Weimar’s historic old town, the region offers numerous opportunities for a varied supporting program. Whether it’s a group city tour, visits to cultural attractions, or recreational activities like bowling or going to the movies—there are plenty of options for teams to enjoy away from the training field. Depending on the schedule, the regional league teams FC Carl Zeiss Jena and FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt also offer exciting stadium experiences in the surrounding area.
Team Building
For additional team-building activities, there are further options right at the sports complex, which we’d be happy to arrange for you. The facility features a large dart room with multiple dartboards, four bowling lanes including a clubhouse, and a small gym for group activities.
