Ortenberg Castle Guest House
The Ortenberg Guest House combines a unique castle building with a natural setting in the heart of the Black Forest, creating a very special atmosphere for training camps.
My personal tip for you
Thanks to its compact layout, the “Baden fairy-tale castle” quickly fosters a genuine sense of community within the team. For youth teams in particular, the Ortenberg Guest House offers a special setting that goes far beyond the usual training routine and strengthens team spirit.
Training
Training takes place on an artificial turf field (98 x 64 meters). It is about a 7-minute drive from the lodging.
Please note: You may only step onto the artificial turf while wearing the designated "Tausendfüßler" shoes or artificial turf shoes.

Hotel
This beautiful castle is surrounded by vineyards and lies just about 500 meters from the town center. The guesthouse can accommodate a total of 146 people, most of whom are housed in four- or six-bed rooms. A few double rooms are also available. For group activities, there is a barbecue area in the rose garden that teams can use. Table tennis tables, pool tables, a foosball table, and basketball hoops are also available. The building features four common rooms as well as two meeting rooms, which are ideal for team evenings or meetings. Meals are served in the beautifully furnished dining room.

Rooms
Accommodations are available in double, four-bed, or six-bed rooms. A total of 37 rooms are available. The double rooms have private showers and toilets, while the multi-bed rooms have shared showers and toilets.

The Ortenberg Guest House is located on the edge of the Black Forest in Ortenberg, Baden, not far from Offenburg. The surroundings, characterized by vineyards and nature, create a special atmosphere, while the A5 highway is within easy reach. Please note that the access road to the guesthouse is suitable only for buses with a maximum length of 12 meters.
Activities
Swimming Options
The Stegermatt Recreation Pool is less than ten minutes away. In the summer, an outdoor pool is available; in the winter, the indoor pool offers several lanes, a tube slide, and diving platforms. There’s also a sauna and wellness area for relaxation.
NightlifeThe numerous bars and clubs in Offenburg offer great opportunities for team nights out and evening excursions.
Supporting Program
Europa-Park Rust is only about a 30-minute drive away and is particularly well-suited as a destination for youth teams.
