My personal tip for you

This destination in Scheffau am Tennengebirge impresses with its excellent artificial turf pitch right next to the accommodation. All of the hotel's rooms were newly renovated in spring 2019. Also worth mentioning is the proximity to the provincial capital of Salzburg and the beautiful "Aqua Salza" swimming pool with wellness area, just a few minutes' drive from the hotel.

Training

Training takes place on the artificial turf pitch (built in 2013, dimensions 100x58 meters) in Scheffau, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. In addition, a beautiful running route (eight kilometers there and back) starts directly at the facility, which is ideal for morning runs, for example (is also cleared in winter).

Hotel

Family-run, traditional inn with excellent cuisine - here the chefs personally look after your well-being. The inn has three cozy parlors, twelve rooms, a guest garden and a dining room for up to 180 people. The only reason the inn does not have an official star rating is because it does not have a separate reception area - but in our opinion it easily offers 3* standard.

Rooms

The twelve rooms (7 doubles, 4 triples and one quadruple) were last refurbished in spring 2019, are bright and friendly and all have a shower/WC, cable TV (flatscreens), safe and balcony.

Wellness

The inn does not have its own wellness area, but our teams receive discounted admission to Aqua Salza - a large leisure pool with indoor and outdoor pools, sauna area and wellness area.

Scheffau is located around 25 minutes' drive south of the provincial capital of Salzburg in the Lammertal valley on the eponymous Tennengebirge mountains, the southern border to Pongau. The accommodation is located in the historic main town of Unterscheffau, directly on the church square.

The large Aqua Salza leisure pool in Golling is just a five-minute drive away. In summer, we also recommend a trip to the beautiful Harrbergsee lake, around 2.5 kilometers from the hotel.

Nightlife

Scheffau is rather quiet, the next larger town is Golling (offers a few restaurants and bars). The provincial capital of Salzburg is around 25 minutes away.

Supporting program

We recommend a trip to the city of Salzburg, which is only a 25-minute drive away. If the dates are suitable, a visit to a Red Bull Salzburg (Bundesliga) or Austria Salzburg (third division) match would also be a nice option.

We were more than satisfied from start to finish. Everything went smoothly throughout the entire period. The training sessions on the USV Scheffau grounds were great! The artificial turf is very well maintained and the changing rooms were clean. There were always nice conversations and help from the officials on site. Our training focused on technique, tactics (game forms) and speed. There was no training game. The organization and accessibility on site was great. There was actually always a contact person present. We had two excursions on the program (RedBull Arena Salzburg = FC delivery game and the Aqua Salza thermal spa). The price-performance ratio is good. As a whole team, we can recommend the training camp (accommodation and training grounds).

Conclusion: The contact persons at soccatours and on site: everything top... Great training conditions... very short distance from the accommodation to the pitch (100 meters!) Very flexible with changes and very accommodating billing... The employees at soccatours are top... always happy to come back... I would like to see the facility in Carinthia on Lake Faak...
our priorities: Our coaches were able to implement everything optimally on the super artificial turf pitch. Unfortunately, the opponent from Austria canceled at short notice.....A big thank you goes to FC Aufhausen (LKR Dingolfing) who spontaneously agreed to a training game. Climate: Unfortunately it was bitterly cold....day over minus 10 degrees.....and that at the beginning of March... but that was an exception... at this time it was like this almost all over Europe...

Super handling by soccatours. the hotel suited us completely. training: there is a very good, well-maintained and large artificial pitch right next to the hotel. our focus: technique, tactics, game forms. training was possible in all weather conditions. good for team spirit. training game: Otting II vs Scheffau II 4:3 and Otting I vs SSK Salzburg I 1:1 - the playing strengths matched our expectations. the referees were good, without any problems. organisation on site: contact person Herbert Sunkler deserves extra praise. climate: we were able to do everything we had planned without any problems. temperature -1° to +8° Celsius. partly sunny, no wind. supporting programme: large indoor swimming pool 4 kilometers away, otherwise very quiet.
we would book with you again - same place and same hotel, but host Robert should have more ALCOHOL-FREE wheat beer (a great restaurateur).

<i>note fussballtrainingslager.com: Thank you very much for your feedback. The host will be extensively renovating his hotel in the 2018/2019 winter season, so unfortunately it is closed here. However, it will be available for training camps again from 2019/2020 - and then it will be even better than ever. The alcohol-free wheat beer will also be replenished by then - we promise :-).
