My personal tip for you

Thanks to its attractive location close to the German border, the spa town of Karlovy Vary is ideal for a short training camp. The training conditions on the artificial turf pitch right next to the hotel are ideal - everything is within walking distance, so an effective training camp is possible without long distances.

Right next to the hotel is the Slavia Karlovy Vary sports facility, where training sessions are held in winter on the 105 x 68 meter artificial turf.

Rooms

The bright, modern rooms have a TV, a minibar, a small seating area and a private bathroom. You can also expect either a balcony or large windows. WLAN is available free of charge in all rooms.

Wellness

For regeneration or relaxation, we recommend a trip to the castle spa (Zámecké Lázně), which is a 10-15 minute walk away.

It is only a 30-40 minute drive from the German border and is one of the most famous and traditional spas in the world. Together with twelve other European spas, it is currently seeking World Heritage status. The Hotel Marttel is located just 800 meters from the spa center of Karlovy Vary.

Karlovy Vary offers its guests various pubs, restaurants and casinos for a night out.

Supporting program

Depending on the match schedule, a visit to an ice hockey game of the Czech first league team HC Energie Karlovy Vary is a great way to spend an evening together. A trip to the historic old town is highly recommended, as is a visit to the five Karlovy Vary colonnades. There is also a bowling center with several lanes directly behind the hotel.

    We’ll definitely book with SOCCATOURS again. The organization was great, the value for money was good, and both the booking process and communication were perfect. We don’t have any suggestions for improvement regarding the booking process.

    The location was very good, since the artificial turf field was right next to the hotel. The food was delicious, though for athletes it was sometimes a bit too little. A pasta buffet, for example, would be a good solution here. Also, people who don’t eat pork were automatically served a vegetarian meal, even though the main course was actually chicken. The staff was very friendly, and the stay was very good overall. The only downside was that the hotel didn’t have a bar or lobby where we could sit together in the evenings.

    The quality of the artificial turf was very good for both training and the game. We didn’t need to bring our own equipment, though goals of all sizes were available. The training focused on fitness and practice games.

    The game was against DJK-SV Neufang. Although the 10–0 score was lopsided, it was still a good test for us, as the opponent wasn’t as weak as the score might suggest. The referee was also excellent.

    The on-site contact person was very friendly and always responded promptly to any questions. Everything went exactly as planned.

    There were several bars within walking distance for the evening. Of course, it can’t be compared to Prague or Pilsen, but you can still have a great team night out in Karlovy Vary.

    All in all, we were very satisfied and would book through SOCCATOURS again.

    We were very satisfied with the booking process. information about the closed wellness area would have been helpful. on the whole, the accommodation was good for the price. the training facilities were great. the only flaw was possibly the not quite clean showers in the changing room. the training program could be carried out as planned. we had a training game against MSV Eislingen. the game ended 1:1 and was also relatively even. the referee's performance was okay. the only drawback was the slight language barrier. the organization on site was very good. the supporting program on site was very good. the price-performance ratio was good.

    SOCCATOURS' handling was excellent and absolutely professional and therefore recommendable. The hotel is a bit outdated, but otherwise everything is fine. Very friendly staff and good catering. Great artificial turf of the latest generation and also a good grass pitch directly at the hotel. At the beginning of the preparation, mainly fitness, but also technique, standards and finishing were trained. We didn't have a game, which was ok. Everything was well organized on site. There are also many things to do off the pitch for camaraderie. Conclusion: Top and I would definitely book again.

    Internet presence was accurate, offer preparation and friendliness very good - easy and quick to reach; no suggestions for improvement. staff and especially the contact person named in the booking confirmation very friendly and courteous. fitness area was not available, therefore no rating. hotel rooms were of sufficient size. the check-in process was very well organized. however, there was a stench from the drains in two rooms. massage offer in the hotel was used by some players. booking was uncomplicated, appointments could be made at short notice at reasonable prices. food was fresh - but as always a matter of taste. food requests e.g. vegetarians were catered for without any problems. a little more variety at breakfast would be desirable. due to various events at this time, an initially reserved room for team meetings etc. could not be used. however, an alternative room (a little too small) was provided.
