The South Moravian Region (Jihomoravský kraj) is one of the 14 regions of the Czech Republic and, as the name suggests, is located in the south of Moravia. It borders directly on Slovakia and Austria. The administrative seat is the city of Brno. Around 1.2 million people live in the region, which is particularly interesting for football teams from Austria due to the short journey to the region.
