Hotel
The Hotel Poiano impresses with its elegant, Mediterranean style and spacious grounds, characterized by well-manicured gardens and tree-lined avenues, combining Italian charm with modern comfort. For our teams, we offer comfortable hotel rooms in various categories, with up to three beds per room.
In addition to optimal training conditions, our teams benefit from numerous other amenities: The two padel courts can be used free of charge until nightfall; a fee applies only for the use of the floodlights. Furthermore, the fitness room and a meeting room for up to forty people are available free of charge. The resort also features a golf driving range with a two-hole course. Golf enthusiasts can play on the course for a fee, provided they have the appropriate license. The driving range can be used even without a license.
Due to renovation work, the hotel will be open starting March 18, 2027. The wellness area is available for an additional fee. There, guests can enjoy, among other things, a sauna, a steam room, sensory showers, and various relaxation areas.
Rooms
Accommodations are provided in comfortable hotel rooms of various categories, which are ideal for football teams. The rooms feature, among other things, a bathroom with a shower, air conditioning, a safe, and satellite TV, providing a comfortable base for a pleasant training camp stay.
Fitness
The spacious and very well-equipped fitness room is available to our teams free of charge. Numerous cardio machines, dumbbells, and various strength training machines allow for varied, individualized training and optimal recovery.
Wellness
The wellness area, featuring an indoor pool, Finnish sauna, and Turkish steam bath, provides relaxation after intense training sessions. Use of the wellness area will be available starting March 18, 2027, for an additional fee.
Map
The Hotel Poiano is idyllically situated above Garda and offers a peaceful setting with typical Italian charm. The spacious property is just a few minutes away from Lake Garda and the town center of Garda. Thanks to its excellent transportation links, the hotel is quick and easy to reach. It’s easy to get there via the highway. The historic city of Verona, with its impressive old town and famous Arena, is also only about forty minutes away from the hotel.
Activities
Beach/Swimming
Even during the winter months, Lake Garda offers a stunning backdrop for activities with friends and family. Walks along the lakeside promenade are ideal for unwinding after a workout and recharging your batteries. Lake Garda can also be used for ice swimming.
Nightlife
In the center of Garda, you’ll find various restaurants and bars that are perfect for a relaxed team night out. Since options may be somewhat limited during the winter months, a trip to Verona is a worthwhile alternative. There, night owls will find a much wider selection of bars, restaurants, and nightlife options.
Recreational Activities
Even off the football field, the region offers numerous opportunities for a varied supporting program. However, due to the training camp dates in February and March, the opening hours of the amusement parks are subject to seasonal variations. Visits to Gardaland, the Sea Life Aquarium, or Movieland Park are therefore only possible if the respective parks are already open by the time of your trip. A year-round alternative is the Villa dei Cedri Thermal Park in Colà di Lazise.
In addition, there are bowling alleys and an indoor go-kart track in the area. Attending a league game—for example, a Hellas Verona match—can also be a special experience. We’d be happy to check the current schedule and, subject to availability, arrange the appropriate tickets for you.
Recovery
After intense training sessions, teams have various options for active and passive recovery. The fitness room can be used free of charge for individual recovery and supplementary workouts.
Starting March 18, 2027, the wellness area will also be available for an additional fee. It includes, among other things, an indoor relaxation pool with a view of Lake Garda, a sauna, a bio-sauna, and other relaxation areas.
Sports Facilities
In addition to the football fields, teams can use the spacious fitness area for individual strength, stability, and mobility training sessions.
The two padel courts are available free of charge until nightfall. An additional fee applies for use of the floodlights. Players may bring their own racquets and balls or rent them on-site for an additional fee. Since these are outdoor courts, their use in February and March depends on weather and court conditions.
The golf course can also be used for a fee. A valid license is required to play on the course, while the driving range is available even without a license. Golf clubs and balls can be rented for an additional fee. The hotel features a driving range and a small two-hole course.
Use of the tennis courts and the beach volleyball court is subject to weather conditions and the facilities’ operating hours.
Team Building
For an action-packed team-building activity, a group go-kart race at Affi Kart Indoor is a great option. The fully covered track is located about a twenty-minute drive from the hotel and is open year-round. Various race formats make it possible to organize a customized team event with a genuine competitive spirit.
