Requirements
To obtain a FIFA Match Agent Licence, applicants must meet strict qualification criteria. FIFA assesses their experience, expertise and ability to handle the responsibilities and tasks of a match agent. FIFA regulates and monitors match agents to ensure that they adhere to ethical standards and act in accordance with the principles and rules of international football. This ensures the integrity and professionalism of football match operations. Expertise in football management: Match agents must have a sound understanding of the business of football. They should be able to handle the logistical and organizational challenges associated with the organization of international football events.
Regulations for international matches
In addition to competitive matches such as FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the teams of all FIFA member associations also play friendly matches throughout the year in accordance with FIFA's international match calendar and the FIFA Regulations for International Matches.
Organization of test matches between different confederations
In accordance with the applicable regulations, all FIFA member associations may organize friendly matches at any level with their own personnel at their own discretion. Some associations sometimes use the services of third parties to organize friendly matches against teams from other confederations. The persons concerned must be in possession of a FIFA match agent licence in accordance with the Match Agent Regulations - such as SOCCATOURS Managing Director Marcus Häusler.
