My personal tip for you

A great alternative to the established destinations on the east coast of Istria. Admission to the indoor pool, the wellness area including use of the sauna and the fitness room is free of charge. The nearby, very good artificial turf pitch in Labin is used as a training facility. The excellent price-performance ratio provides excellent conditions for a successful training camp.

Training

A state-of-the-art artificial turf pitch (105 x 65 meters) is available in Labin, about 7.7 kilometers from the accommodation. Training times are announced before arrival and take place in three shifts. On busy weekends, up to 3 teams can be in the hotel at the same time.

Hotel

The Valamar Sanfior Hotel & Casa is located directly by the sea in the bay of Rabac and offers a beautiful lobby with seating, a large restaurant with sun terrace and a bar. It also has an indoor pool, a beautiful outdoor pool (all with sea views) and a fitness room as well as a wellness area with saunas and a whirlpool. In addition to the hotel, there is also the Valamar Casa annex building with its own outdoor pool, which is usually only open in the summer months. Our teams are accommodated exclusively in the main building. Free WLAN is available throughout the hotel.

Rooms

The hotel has a total of 242 rooms, of which 151 rooms are in the hotel and 91 rooms in the annex building (Casa). All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, shower/bathtub, LCD satellite TV, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, minibar (for a fee), safe and WLAN Internet access.

Fitness

The hotel offers a small fitness room, which is equipped with multifunctional fitness equipment and is included in the service package.

Wellness

The hotel has an indoor pool with a beautiful sea view and a wellness area with Finnish sauna, aroma steam bath, infrared sauna, whirlpool and vitality bar (water, tea and fruit included).

Rabac is a small town in the bay of the same name on the east coast of Istria, situated on a peninsula. The hotel is located directly by the sea, with a fantastic view of the bay.

We recommend arriving by car or coach, or by plane to Pula Airport (approx. 45 minutes by car) or Rijeka Airport (approx. 90 minutes by car).

The well-kept pebble beach with a view of the island of Cres is around 100 meters away.

Nightlife

Rabac is naturally very quiet in the winter months, but some bars are open all year round. There is a bit more going on in nearby Labin (5 minutes' drive). The larger towns in the area are Pula (approx. 55 minutes' drive) and Rijeka (approx. 75 minutes' drive).

Supporting program

We recommend excursions to the old towns of Labin, Pula or Rijeka.

300 meters from the hotel there is a bicycle rental. 200 meters away there is a large tennis center.

    The booking process was smooth and pleasant. I found the competent advice particularly positive. Many thanks for that! I don't see any potential for improvement at the moment. The accommodation was good overall, even if the rooms are a bit outdated. Everything else, such as the food, the service and the friendliness of the staff, was positive as expected. The training ground (artificial turf in Rabac) was fully convincing with the new artificial turf. The social program was solid, even if there were understandably fewer options available in February. Nevertheless, it was pleasant for the time of year and the overall package was right.

    As always, SOCCATOURS handled everything very well. The only thing that would be helpful is a reliable clarification of whether a deposit is required by the hotel. The number of seats in front of the hotel bar (tables) could definitely be increased. Accommodation was great, even if a bit spacious (3 buildings). Food was good, only cutlery was occasionally missing. Service was also good. Best possible conditions on a new artificial turf pitch. Unfortunately about 7 km away, so you always need the bus for a transfer. Test match opponent (UFC Burgkirchen) was strong, but a perfect opponent for us. Final score 3:4 referee was inconspicuous, so good. Perfect organization on site. Restaurants and bars directly in Rabac are scarce. In Lunin you can find some bars and cafés, but at 7 km distance you always need a cab or bus.

    Everything went very well with SOCCATOURS. Very quick responses and a pragmatic approach. The artificial turf pitch was brand new and offered us perfect conditions. We trained in tactics, standards, forms of play and coordination. SOCCATOURS Country Manager Dragan came by on the first day to clarify the training times and was also very keen to ensure that everything fitted. The program on site was just right. I can recommend the Pizzeria Rumore in the old town of Labin, as well as the Rock Cafe. Conclusion: I would do everything exactly the same way again!

    I was very satisfied with the way everything was handled. Dominik Gebele was a great contact person at SOCCATOURS, who responded to individual needs and was easy to reach. The accommodation is really highly recommended. The staff are very friendly and respond to personal wishes. The rooms are immaculate and equipped with everything you need for a training camp. The food met all expectations, as did the fitness and wellness area. Unfortunately, we were unlucky with the weather this year. The grass pitch was correspondingly affected. Unfortunately, we didn't have the best conditions here this year, but this was solely due to the difficult weather conditions. However, our contact person on site made slots on the artificial pitch possible for us at short notice. We played a test match against SV Dornach. The referee's performance was impeccable. The playing strength was correctly selected. Our team was very friendly.

    Ich war mit der Angebotserstellung. der Buchung und der Erreichbarkeit wie immer bei SOCCATOURS sehr zufrieden.
    Alle Umbuchungen wurden sehr schnell bearbeitet, wir mussten auch für kurzfristig Absagen keine Stornogebühr zahlen. Das Hotel war super, große Zimmer mit Balkon und Meerblick, alle Mahlzeiten vom Buffet mit Vor- und Nachspeisen, da war für jeden etwas dabei, sehr freundliches Personal, unsere Essenszeiten zu Mittag wurden nach unseren Wünsch verlegt.
    Der Wellnessbereich war sehr gut. Der Kunstrasenplatz in Labin ist richtig super, es waren auch bewegliche Tore vorhanden, die Umkleidekabinen hätte man benutzen können, wir haben uns aber immer gleich im Hotel umgezogen. Wir konnten alle 6 Trainingseinheiten wie geplant durchziehen. Ich habe mit Dragan (SOCCATOURS Country Manager in Kroatien) ein paar mal telefoniert, er war auch einmal vor Ort da, weil sich ein paar Trainingszeiten geändert haben, da es die Wochen vorher sehr stark geregnet hat und dadurch einige Punktspiele nachgeholt werd
