This 4* Hotel Untersberg in Grödig has a beautiful wellness area and a good location to the sports centers in the surrounding area. The nearby provincial capital of Salzburg is, of course, ideal for excursions or end-of-stay evenings.
My personal tip for you
The Hotel Untersberg is the perfect place to spend a few days, the double rooms are spacious and comfortable and all but a few have their own balcony. The wellness area, including sauna and beautiful relaxation area, is the perfect place to wind down after a strenuous day of training. Guests are treated to regional dishes in the hotel restaurant.
Training
Training takes place either on one of the two artificial turf pitches in Hallein (approx. 9 or 12 kilometers from the hotel), on the SV Grödig artificial turf pitch (approx. 3 kilometers away) or on the newly renovated artificial turf pitch at the Rif sports center (approx. 2 kilometers away). The latter was modernized in 2024 and has been one of the best in the region ever since.

Hotel
The hotel is located about 10 kilometers from the city center of Salzburg in the village of Sankt Leonhard (municipality of Grödig) and has been in existence since 1886. Hospitality and friendliness are very important, a combination of rustic & modern gives the hotel its very own charm. Over 70 double rooms are available for guests to choose from, and there is also a beautiful wellness area and a small fitness room directly in the hotel. Seminar and massage rooms are also available.
Rooms:
All rooms have a bathroom with shower and WC including towels for your stay. The double rooms are also almost all equipped with a balcony. Of course, there is a TV and telephone in the rooms and free Wi-Fi is also available.
Fitness
In the small fitness room for max. 6 people there are two cardio machines, mats for yoga & stretch units and a multi-functional machine for the upper body.
Wellness
In addition to a Finnish sauna, an infrared sauna and a steam bath, the relaxation room and lounge are the highlights of the wellness area. Massages can be booked individually on site.
Map
The hotel is located just south of the city of Salzburg, with the towns of Grödig and Neu-Anif just a few minutes' walk away. The location there is relatively quiet, with a beautiful mountain panorama and cool running routes along the Königsseeache rounding off the perfect training camp location.

There are countless bars and discos in Salzburg, approx. 15 minutes' drive away.
Social program
In Salzburg there are countless possibilities such as a tour of the RB Salzburg Academy or a visit to Hangar7. Mountain tours, beer and whiskey tastings or torchlight hikes are also offered in the surrounding area.
Team building
We are happy to organize other team-building excursions such as a mountain bike tour, hike or canyoning.
