My personal tip for you
Located directly on the Adriatic coast, the four-star hotel boasts a large spa area with two Finnish saunas and an indoor pool with numerous lounging options, as well as training sessions on the natural grass pitch in Lovran, which is within walking distance.
Training
The two natural grass pitches in Lovran and Draga are connected to the Hotel Excelsior. The pitch in Lovran is located just 500 metres from the hotel and is therefore just a few minutes' walk away. It was newly laid out in 2025 and measures 100 x 62 metres. Right next to it is a small artificial turf pitch (40 x 20 metres).
There is also a natural grass pitch (102 x 62 metres) at NK Draga, which was also prepared for the upcoming autumn and winter season in September 2025. Training sessions can start after a journey of around 13 minutes or 8.4 kilometers.

Hotel
The Hotel Excelsior in Lovran is an elegant 4-star hotel located directly on the coastal promenade and is surrounded by laurel and oak vegetation. Facilities include several pools (including an indoor pool with heated seawater, outdoor pools), a spacious wellness and spa area and various gastronomic offerings from buffet restaurant to à la carte restaurant and cocktail bar.
Rooms
Accommodation is planned in the economy rooms, which can be used as either single or double rooms. These are modernly furnished, often with a balcony and sea view, and offer comforts such as air conditioning, WiFi and a minibar.
Fitness
The hotel offers a spacious, well-equipped fitness room with dumbbells, individual cardio machines and power racks.
Wellness
After your training sessions, you can use the large indoor pool or one of the Finnish saunas in the spa area to regenerate. Various massages are also available for an additional charge.

The Hotel Excelsior is located directly on the waterfront promenade (Šetalište Maršala Tita) in the center of Lovran, only about 50 m from the sea. Lovran is about 20 kilometers from the city of Rijeka.
