The Salinera Resort in Strunjan impresses with its quiet location, good facilities including a wellness area and very good artificial turf pitches.
My personal tip for you
In this destination, the newly renovated Piran artificial turf pitch, on which our teams prefer to train, is certainly worth mentioning. The hotel also offers an all-inclusive light option, which means breakfast, lunch and dinner from the buffet, free non-alcoholic drinks from 10 am to 10 pm, one alcoholic drink at dinner and the use of the indoor pool and sauna area is included.
Training
Training takes place primarily on the beautifully situated artificial turf pitch in Piran, which is only two kilometers away and in very good condition. The fantastic sports center with a new artificial turf pitch in Izola is also available for training, as is the modern training center in Koper.

Hotel
The bioenergetic resort has a total of 101 rooms, a beautiful restaurant with sun terrace and sea view, a bar, several meeting rooms, a bicycle garage as well as an outdoor parking lot and underground parking. Accommodation is available in either the three- or four-star range. There is a free Internet corner in the hotel lobby as well as free WLAN Internet access in the rooms and in the lobby.
Rooms
The 4* superior rooms are equipped with bathroom incl. shower cubicle, satellite TV, telephone, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar and balcony. The majority of the rooms have a sea view. The 3* standard rooms offer a more basic level of comfort and have a bathroom with shower cubicle, satellite TV, telephone and hairdryer.

There is no fitness room available.
Wellness
The hotel offers a heated indoor swimming pool (180 m2) with sea water and two massage pools as well as a wellness area with several saunas, cooling pool and relaxation area.
Map
The resort is located in Strunjan, a district of Piran north of the city center, directly by the sea. Piran is the most south-western point of Slovenia and is only a few kilometers away from Croatia.
We recommend arriving by car or coach. For air travel, the nearest airport is in Trieste/Italy, around 70 kilometers or about 50 minutes from Izola. Other options include the airports of Ljubljana, Pula or Rijeka, which are all about an hour and a half's drive from the hotel.
Activities
Beach/swimming facilities
The resort has its own stretch of beach, mostly with a pebble beach and concrete bathing platforms.
Nightlife
Piran is rather quiet in winter, but there is plenty going on in Koper all year round.
Supporting program
We recommend a trip to the center of the region, to Koper or to the centers of Piran and Portoroz. In addition, there is free admission to the casino in Portoroz for our groups.
Regeneration
The Salinera Resort has a bioenergetic park surrounded by greenery with twelve bioenergetic points. The hotel also offers a wide range of treatments and massages.
Sports facilities
From the resort, a beautiful running path leads along the coast for kilometers to Piran.
