General information about football training camps with SOCCATOURS
In line with our slogan "Travelling to Success", we want you to experience the perfect football training camp, which is why we have put together a wealth of information so that you are as comprehensively and transparently informed as possible about your trip to one of our destinations before you book.
Of course, we'd love to! Please just get in touch with us so that we can clarify the details, as each of these trips is arranged individually.
No. This is a typical problem with group trips, as very few clubs know the exact number of participants months in advance. We try to make any changes to the original booking ("cancellation" if there are fewer participants, "rebooking" if there are more participants) as unbureaucratic and cost-effective as possible.
In deviation from our General Terms and Conditions of Business and Travel, more favourable cancellation conditions may apply. In practice, this happens quite frequently because we have very good personal contacts with the hoteliers. In the case of training camps with your own travel arrangements, problems have rarely arisen if the number of participants changes by one or two athletes at short notice. In this case, you usually only pay for the rooms that you actually need. However, the prerequisite is always that you inform us of such changes before your arrival so that we can inform the service providers on site in time.
However, if the number of participants changes significantly - by more than two people - service providers may charge cancellation fees on site, up to a maximum of the amount stated in our AVRB. The situation is more problematic for air travel, however, because subsequent changes always incur costs. In this case, the costs stated in our AVRB always apply.
It should also be noted that unannounced non-arrivals (even by individual participants) regularly incur a 100% cancellation fee ("no show").
We strongly recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance, e.g. in the event of illness or accidental injury, so that you are always on the safe side.
Fortunately, our football training camps are very popular. Unfortunately, however, due to the high demand, capacities are exhausted relatively early (which we are working on at full speed). Therefore, you should always book the training camp as soon as possible.
Of course, we will always try to get rooms and football pitches, but it is much more difficult because the choice is much smaller. However, we are constantly optimizing our portfolio of hotels and pitches in order to expand our offer and be able to place more clubs.
For us as a tour operator, it is important to know who our contractual partner is: the club, a company or a private individual. If no official club stamp is visible on a booking form, we have to assume that a private individual is booking with us and is therefore fully liable.
The club stamp is also only an indication that the club wants to book with us and not the private individual making the booking. We therefore recommend that the booking is signed and stamped by a person officially authorized to represent the club (in the case of a club, usually the board of directors and department head/chairman).
Unfortunately not, because as a tour operator or travel agent we are subject to differential taxation in accordance with Art. 23 of the Federal Value Added Tax Act (VAT Act, MWSTG) and are therefore not allowed to show VAT.
Unfortunately not, because legally speaking we only have one contractual partner and ask for your understanding that we are therefore only allowed to issue one invoice.
If you arrive independently by private car or chartered bus, check-in is usually - unless otherwise stated - from 2 p.m. Check-out is usually at 10 a.m. on the day of departure.
Other arrangements can of course be made by arrangement. In the case of arrival by air, the dates depend on the flight times and will be announced individually.
Theoretically, you can organize your own travel arrangements for every football training camp, including flights, but we will of course also be happy to organize your flights for you.
Sufficient sleep and recovery time between training sessions is important. That's why it's important for us to communicate the possible training times to you as part of the offer process. However, you will find out exactly when you can go to the pitch to train when you receive the booking confirmation at the latest. Please note: In Croatia, we have some facilities where you will only be informed of the training times and pitches on site. However, we will explicitly inform you during the offer and booking phase if the desired facility is such a case.
At the training facilities in Turkey, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus, you will usually find all kinds of equipment. You should only take your own balls with you - our teams receive 100 kilograms of free baggage allowance with our partner airlines. At most other destinations to which you travel privately, we ask you to bring your own training equipment such as balls, poles, hoops or cones. Mobile goals are usually available.
This is one of our most important tasks when organizing a training camp and one of our absolute strengths. Every season we organize many hundreds of friendly matches and preparation games.
We have a very large network in the football world, not least thanks to our own local staff, the FIFA Match Agent license of our Managing Director Marcus Häusler and his membership of FIFMA, the network of FIFA's most renowned match agents, to which only two German match agents belong. In addition, we have the largest number of local teams in most destinations, so we can often arrange the test matches well in advance. In short: usually no problem.
