My personal tip for you
Our destination in Melk, the "gateway to the Wachau" in Lower Austria, offers a very nice, family-run 4* hotel and a well-kept artificial turf pitch, just 1100 meters from the hotel. The food is excellent - the junior chef cooks here personally.
Training
Just 1100 meters (3 minutes' drive) from the hotel is a very well-maintained artificial turf pitch (100 x 63 meters) and the SC Melk stadium with very good natural grass (105 x 68 meters). In the summer months, you can also use the natural grass pitch in Emmersdorf (105 x 68 meters), around 3.5 kilometers (5 minutes' drive) away, and a small training pitch in Melk (70 x 45 meters), around 850 meters (2 minutes' drive) away.

Hotel
The small and family-run 4* hotel is furnished in a traditional country house style and offers a very good restaurant, a parlor, a sun terrace, two large seminar rooms, a beautiful wellness area, a vinotheque, bar, elevator, as well as ample parking at the hotel (underground and outdoor parking). Meals are all buffet style and it is possible to agree in advance with the chef what will be prepared. There is free WLAN internet access throughout the hotel.
Rooms
The hotel offers a total of 29 spacious non-smoking rooms, all of which are furnished to a very high standard and equipped with a bathroom with shower/WC, TV and radio, minibar, safe, heating, telephone, some with balconies and free WLAN Internet access.
Wellness
The hotel offers a wellness area with a large sauna, a steam bath, a cold pool and a relaxation room. Crushed ice can be organized for the cold pool on request and at an extra charge.
For teams who bring their own physio or masseur, a massage room can be used (please bring your own table). On request, a good local sports masseur can also be organized by the hour after the training sessions.

Melk is located directly on the right bank of the Danube and is known as "the gateway to the Wachau" (Danube valley between Melk and Krems, famous for wine-growing and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000). It is located directly on the Westautobahn and Westbahn and is therefore very easy to reach. The hotel is located at the entrance to Melk, only about 500 meters from the Danube, the freeway and Melk Abbey.

Beach/swimming facilities
The Wachaubad is just a few minutes' walk from the hotel and offers a 50-meter sports pool, a diving pool, children's pool, a 70-meter water slide, a waterfall and much more.

Wine tasting in the hotel's own wine cellar, visit to a winery with tasting, visit to the Braustall farm brewery, visit to Melk Abbey with its world-famous Benedictine abbey, excursion to the provincial capital of St. Pölten, etc.

Just a five-minute drive away is the Wachauring, a driving safety center where you can drive go-karts, among other things. In Melk there are opportunities for curling and a bowling alley, in St. Pölten and Purgstall an der Erlauf there is also the possibility of bowling and laser tag.
