The quietly located 4* hotel has a lot of experience with football teams, including SKU Amstetten, FC Dornbirn, SC Austria Lustenau and SV Lafnitz. The extensive green areas on the hotel grounds are perfect for morning activation sessions, while the Edlersee, which is within walking distance, provides the necessary cooling off after intensive training sessions.
Training
Training takes place at the SVU Langau sports facility, the Freizeitarena, which is just under 5.5 kilometers from the hotel. The facility offers a natural grass pitch (97 x 63 meters) including a covered grandstand and a large canteen, where a final evening can also be held. There is also a generational playground on the Freizeitarena grounds, which was reopened in 2023.

Hotel
The Schüttkasten Geras & the adjoining Meierhof combine historical charm with modern comfort. In 2009, the former monastic manor house was completely renovated and now offers 70 rooms. The hotel also offers a garden, a communal lounge, a terrace, a restaurant, a bar and several seminar rooms. A sauna is also available. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building and there is also an in-house bicycle rental service.
Rooms
The rooms are equipped with a desk, flat-screen TV, kettle and a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Some rooms also have air conditioning. The single rooms are located in the Meierhof (100 meters from the Schüttkasten).
Fitness
In the summer months, the green areas of the hotel grounds are used for exercise sessions. There is also the option of using a seminar room and laying out exercise mats there.

The Schüttkasten Geras has a wellness area with sauna.

The Schüttkasten is located in the idyllic Waldviertel, near Geras Abbey. The region is characterized by its quiet and natural location, perfect for relaxation and outdoor activities. The hotel is located near the historic town center of Geras, making it an ideal starting point for excursions and discoveries in the surrounding area.
The Schüttkasten Geras is best reached by car and is around 1.5 to 2 hours' drive from Vienna, taking the A22 (Danube highway) to the Krems or Stockerau exit and then continuing on well-maintained country roads to Geras.
Activities
Beach/swimming facilities
The Edlersee lake in Geras, just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, is the perfect place to cool off after an intensive workout. There is also a small mini-golf course, a beach volleyball court and a pizzeria. If you are looking for even more variety, there is an outdoor pool with 1- and 3-metre diving boards and the Thayabad in Drosendorf, just a 10-minute drive away.
Nightlife
In the summer months, we recommend a trip to Horn, 20 minutes away by car, on the final evening. There are several bars and a disco there. There are also a number of events/parties in the surrounding area.
Supporting program
One excursion option is the Geras Nature Park. 20 minutes away by car you can watch a second league game of SV Horn (depending on the match schedule).
Sports facilities
The beautiful nature in the surrounding area is ideal for running, hiking or cycling tours. The Lengenfeld Golf Club is also nearby.
Team building
On a free afternoon we recommend canoeing in the Thayatal. The starting point is in Raabs, approx. 15 minutes away by car.
